Mr. Avinash Jain addresses a session on ‘Best Practices in Children Homes’ at the ‘2014 Juvenile Justice in 21st Century’ Seminar organised by Sampoorna
Mr. Avinash Jain recently addressed a seminar on the topic ‘Best Practices in Children Homes’ at the 2014 Juvenile Justice in 21st Century Seminar. Organised by Sampoorna, a social organization working
towards bettering the lives of young children, the seminar was hosted on 10th October 2014 at the Convention Hall, Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
The Seminar had four sessions namely ‘Challenges of 21st Century under the umbrella of J.J. Act, 2000’; ‘Emerging trend: Crime for fun by Juveniles’; ‘Best Practices in Children Homes under the light of POSCO Act 2012’ and ‘Role of Social Values in the Control and prevention of Juvenile Delinquency’. Of these sessions Mr. Avinash Jain was called upon to address the gathering on the topic – Best Practices in Children Homes under the light of POSCO Act 2012 where he majorly talked about the way in which the day to day activities of Sweet Home are conducted.
At the seminar, Mr. Jain also raised issues faced by the Children Homes and the unfortunate kids residing in those Children Homes. He suggested many points to utilize resources to help these institutions and children into leading a comfortable life & what kind of support and guidance is required out of the Government authorities for the betterment of these children on which the other panellists supported his ideology whole-heartedly.
For the seminar, noted panelists and guests included Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Minister, Law & Justice, Government of India, Dr. Shobha Gupta, Shri Amod Kanth, Smt. Vartika Nanda and Smt. Varsha Sharma; who shared their opinion on bettering the lives of these children who are the future of the country.
